Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring people? Sure! If we are shooting on location, I normally only bring one extra person, so there are 3 extra spaces for you and 2 more people. If you are meeting me at the location or if we are shooting in-studio, feel free to bring whoever you’d like (4 people max).

How long does it take between shoot date and final product? Depends on the job. Standard photo sessions take an average of 2-3 business days. Add-ons such as extra files/prints or film shots will add to production. Events take about a week to process.

How do I view/pick my photos from our session? I will email you a link to a personal gallery with a password unique to our session. From there, you can view the photos and pick the files you’d like to have edited.

Can I share/post pictures online? Yes, once our session is over and you receive your photos, feel free to post them up. Tags/photo credits are always appreciated! A full description of photo rights can be found in the model release form.

How do we meet up for a shoot? I can drive and pick up (travel compensation applies) or we can meet at the location. If that is the case, I will generally arrive 15 minutes prior to shoot time in order to set up. I only ask that clients arrive on time, as a delayed start will cut into our total shoot time.

How do I pay? Sessions are paid in full upfront (cash/ check to Geremy Magbanua). We will soon be making “Square”/paypal as an available payment option.

Will my images be published? Photographer reserves the right to publish at his discretion. I do like to share some of my work online, so if you’d prefer to have an image/images withheld, please specify before our shoot day.

Cancellations? Sessions can be cancelled w/o fee (preferably at least 24 hours before); Events must notify within 2-3 business before the reserved date or the photographer reserves the right to withhold the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations due to weather will be treated as reschedulings; same rules apply to new shoot date.

How does posing work? I will help direct and pose you in a way that’s comfortable and flattering for a good picture, though I will sometimes capture candid/natural moments as well. I believe in having a comfortable and fun working environment, which is why I welcome company and things like music on location and things of that nature.

What do you do to edit pictures? Generally I will do very minimal retouches. I believe in enhancing and optimizing the natural look of a client’s photo. So I will do things such as remove blemishes, stray hairs, or anything else minor that would otherwise take away from a photo. Other than that, I only make/withhold alterations in accordance to specific requests by the client (ie. skin smoothing, keeping/removing braces, altering figure, etc.).

What happens if we finish a session in the middle of an hour? I do charge by-the-hour, but I am usually pretty lenient with the threshold of charging for one hour and charging for two. If we finish in an hour and a half, for example, you don’t have to worry any extra fees. However, anything past the extra half hour (30 minutes) will round up to a charge for the next hour.

When are you traveling between NorCal and SoCal? I am still currently a student at San Jose State University. So I am typically in northern California during the regular semester (Late August-December during Fall semester; Late January-Early June for Spring Semester). Typically, I will only be in SoCal during school breaks (times between those listed). This is my usual schedule but there may be exceptions and I may be able to travel depending on the booking. So if you are interested in booking, l encourage you to contact me just in case. You never know!
